How the folks at Love Tea have made their organic tea range plastic free!
Love Tea are passionate about protecting the our planet! They are committed to reducing their negative impact on the environment. They have made some really positive choices when deciding how to produce their range of certified organic tea.
Their beautiful tea range is packaged in boxes which are made from post-consumer recycled cardboard, reducing the need for plantation grown timber and utlising the huge amount of used cardboard that already exists.
The boxes are printed with vegetable inks, reducing the use of harmful chemicals.
Love Tea keep their tea fresh inside the box with clear plant-based cellophane that breaks down in your home compost in a few months!
Their pyramid tea bags are made from a biodegradable plant-based material called Soilon. They also break down in your home compost.
There’s more! Their orders are packed in post-consumer cardboard boxes and they use kraft paper sticky tape which seems to break down faster than poly tape.
